The 2016 trials for Scholarships to the European Football Academy and the coming season saw a massive turn out of 250+ players. Players from the North and South of London turned up enforce to impress Sporting Clube Portugal scout Aurelio Pereria, the man who found Cristiano Ronaldo and Eric Dier, in an effort to get the top prize of a full Scholarship to the European Football Academy and a 5 day internship at Sporting’s Academy in 2017.

Players aged 6 to 14 battled it out over the two days with a selected few chosen as candidate’s for the exclusive scholarship program. Over the next two weeks, final decisions will be made, with Academy coaches assessing the players further in training.

The trials were a big success with fun had by all in a competitive atmosphere.
